The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform is hereby Inviting Competent Companies, Close Cooperation Registered and Owned by Namibians to Supply and Deliver 115 Production Heifers for the Batswana of Namibian Descent. The Production Heifers are Part of the Government’s Initiative to Assist the Integration of the Batswana of Namibian Descent into the Society.

DESCRIPTION: Procurement of Supply and Delivery of 115 Production Heifers for the Batswana of Namibia Descent

REFERENCE NUMBER: G/RFQ/37-26/2026

The Production Heifers Must be Delivered at Otjipaheua Communal Area, in Otjozondjupa Region. The Production Heifers Must be Supplied in the Following Lots:

Lot 1: Provision of 58 Production Heifers (Females Only), Simbra Breed Only.
Lot 2: Provision of 57 Production Heifers (Females Only), Brahman Breed Only.

The Service Provider and the Production Heifers Must Meet the Following Requirements:

• The Service Provider Must Have a Minimum of Five (5) Years’ Experience in Cattle Farming Supported by Written Proof Either from Farmers Union, Traditional Authority, Regional Council, Local Authority, Lease Agreement and a Title Deed.
• The Service Provider Must Attach a Written Declaration that the Production Heifers are in Good Condition.
• The Service Provider Must Attach Proof of the Transportation Truck. The Transportation Truck Must be Designed for Transporting Cattle. (The Truck and Rails Must be Designed and Fitted to Transport Animals).
• The Trucks and Truck Trailers Must be Roadworthy. Proof Must be Attached.
• The Production Heifers Must be 3 Years to 3 and 11 Months Only (Ready for the Bull).
• The Breed Must be Simbra and Brahman Only.
• The Service Provider/Bidder Must Provide Proof of Financial Capacity Supported by a Bank Statement with a Minimum Balance of N$ 520,000.00 or Better, and Not Older than Two (2) Weeks at the Closure of the EOI or Provide Proof of Stock (Herd Statement) Availability for this Procurement.

Please Take Note of the Following:

• The Service Provider will be Paid Transport Fees in Line with the Approved Automobile Association (AA) Rates.
• The Service Provider Must Deliver the Goods within 30 Days after Acceptance of the Award Letter.
• The Truck Must be Fit to Go through Rough and Sandy Areas. A Four-Wheel Drive Truck (4X4 or 6X6) is Recommended for this Procurement.
