INVITATION TO TENDER
DESCRIPTION: Black Rhinoceros – Trophy Hunting
The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) has five (5) Old Post-Reproductive Male Black Rhinoceroses Available for Trophy Hunting During the Current Hunting Season (February – November 2025), Within the Provisions of the Relevant National and International Regulations. The Individual Animals to Be Hunted Will Be Determined by the MEFT and All Hunts Will Be Accompanied by MEFT.
Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) Registered Namibian Companies, Owned by Or Having in its Employment a Namibian MEFT Registered Professional Hunter (Big Game) are Invited to Provide MEFT with Written Financial Offers (in Namibia Dollars Only). Bidding Companies Should Also Be in Possession of a Good Standing Certificate from NamRA, a Good Standing Certificate from Social Security, an Employment Equity Certificate and a Certificate of Registration as an SME and All Documents Should Be Valid. A Hunting Outfitter May Not Be Allocated More than 2 Black Rhinos. Bidders Should Therefore Indicate if the Offer is for One or Two Black Rhinoceroses. Offers Should Also Indicate when Hunting Will Take Place.
A Twenty per Cent (20%) Discount Will Be Given to Companies with At Least Twenty Percentage (20%) Ownership by Formerly Disadvantaged Namibians; and/or Ten Percentage (10%) Discounts for Companies with Formerly Disadvantaged Namibians at the Professional Hunter (Big Game) Level.
Due to the Public Holiday on 21 April 2025, the Ministry Would Like to Inform Interested Parties of the Following Important Change:
Written Financial Offers in Sealed Envelopes Should Be Deposited in a Box at the Ministry of Environment and Tourism Headquarters, Cnr Robert Mugabe and Dr Kenneth Kaunda Street, Permit Office Reception
