The Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Gmb H, Commissioned by The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), is Implementing the Energy Partnership (EP) in Namibia. This Initiative Supports Namibia’s Ambition to Become a Global Leader in Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Production, Fostering a Sustainable and Inclusive Energy Transition.
Within this Framework, the Ep and Its Partner, the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), Seek to Engage a Qualified Contractor to Identify and Evaluate Geological Occurrences of High-Purity Quartz and Feldspar Suitable for Solar-Glass Production.
KEY SERVICES INCLUDE:
- The Contractor Shall-Review All Relevant Geological Literature, Reports, Maps, Datasets and Unpublished Material Available Through the Geological Survey of Namibia (GSN), Particularly the Economic Geology Division.
- Identify Areas with Geological Potential for High-Purity Quartz and High-Purity Feldspar Suitable for Solar-Glass Production, Propose a Longlist of Sites and Refine it in Consultation with the GSN and The BGR–GSN Cooperation Project.
- The Contractor Shall Collect a Minimum of Ten Samples per Site, Prepare Samples (Crushing, Milling, Homogenisation) According to Laboratory Standards that Avoid Contamination with Fe-Bearing Equipment.
ELIGIBILITY: This Opportunity is Open to Local Consultants with Demonstrated Expertise in Geological Sampling and Mineral Exploration.
