The Government of Namibia Has Received Financing from the African Development Bank Toward the Cost of the Namibia Agricultural Mechanization and Seed Improvement Project (NAMSIP) and Intends to Apply Part of the Agreed Amount for this Loan to Payments Under the Contract for Environmental and Social Performance Audit for NAMSIP.
The Services Inter Alia Include Under This Project are: (i) Identify Bank Integrated Safeguards System Requirements Relevant to The Project, Including Social Risks (GBV/SEAH, Forced Labour, Child Labour, Modern Slavery, etc.), Vulnerability/Adaptation to Climate Change; (ii) Analyse Available Project Reports and Records Relevant to the Assessment of The Project E&S Performance; (iii) Determine and Agree on the Scope, Methodology and Specific Set of Criteria for the Compliance Audit; (iv) Hold Consultations with the Relevant Regulatory Agencies and Stakeholders on the Status of the Project Regarding Identified E&S Risks and Impacts as Well as Planned and Implemented Mitigation Measures and Legal Permits; (v) Carry out Project Site Visits to Evaluate the Implementation of the Environmental and Social Risks and Impacts Management Activities, Including the Performance of the Contractors and Supervising Engineers, and the Residual/Unforeseen Environmental and Social Risks and Impacts, and (vi) Prepare a Comprehensive Report.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform (MAFWLR) Now Invites Eligible Individual Consultants to Indicate their Interest in Providing these Services. Interested Consultants Must Provide Information Indicating that they are Qualified to Perform the Services (Curriculum Vitae, Description of Similar Assignments, Experience in Similar Conditions, Availability of Appropriate Skills, etc.).
Eligibility Criteria, Establishment of the Short-List and the Selection Procedure Shall Be in Accordance with African Development Bank’s “Procurement Framework for Bank Group Funded Operations” Dated 2015, which is Available on the Bank’s Website at: https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement/new-procurement-policy
. A Consultant will be Selected Under the Individual Consultant Selection Method.
