The Central Bidder Database is a comprehensive registry of pre-qualified bidders, designed to streamline and enhance the procurement process in Namibia by providing procuring entities with quick access to credible and vetted business profiles.

2. What are the benefits of registering on the Central Bidder Database?

Registering on the Central Bidder Database increases your visibility to potential buyers, provides access to numerous tender opportunities, and ensures that your company information is accessible to both public and private sector buyers.

3. Will I be guaranteed to get contracts if I sign up?

While registering on the Central Bidder Database increases your visibility and credibility, it does not guarantee that you will secure contracts. It enhances your chances by ensuring your profile is seen by multiple procuring entities.

4. What is the deference between a paid profile and a free profile?

Although all profile listings will appear in the search results the paid profiles will be featured, therefore appearing on the top of the search results.

5. Will the government be using this platform?

There is no official agreement with the government yet, but we will make the database available to them. This is the first step in our effort to transform how government procures.

6. How often should I update my profile?

You should update your profile regularly to ensure it remains accurate and current. Each profile lasts for 12 months, and you can refresh your profile as you obtain new documents or additional references.

7. What is the difference between a featured profile and a verified profile?

Both featured and verified profiles appear at the top of search results. However, a verified profile means that UTS has confirmed the bidder's experience and accomplishments, ensuring that the bidder is trustworthy for suppliers. This saves potential buyers from having to verify the bidder’s credentials themselves.

8. What documents are required to submit my profile?

You will need to provide various documents, including: Business registration document from BIPA Identity documents of all company owners Tax Registration certificate from NamRA Registration as an Employer with the Social Security Commission and a current list of employees Affirmative Action Compliance certificate Other documents as specified in the Full List of Required Documents.

9. How do I register on the Central Bidder Database?

To register, visit the Central Bidder Database - Namibia webpage at https://www.unifiedtenders.com/CBD and complete the registration form. Select the package that best fits your needs by clicking the "Post Profile" button. We offer a Free Package, a Featured Package for N$600, and a Verified Profile Package for N$1600. If you're an existing user on the UTS tender portal, you can log in using your current credentials. New users should click the "Register" button to begin the process.

10. How do I pay the submission fees if I choose the featured or verified profile packages??

When you select a paid profile option, the website will automatically redirect you to the billing page where you can enter your company details. You can choose to pay online via our DPO payment gateway, which supports card payments, or opt for EFT or Mobile Wallet payment options. Once you've entered all the required details and made your selection, click the "Place Order" button at the bottom of the page. If you choose the DPO option, you'll be redirected to a page to enter your card details and complete the payment. If you choose the EFT or Mobile Wallet option, you will receive an email with a quotation attached. Please use the banking details provided in the quotation to make the payment, and send the proof of payment to [email protected] or [email protected]. Once we receive your payment, your package will be activated, and you can proceed to post your profile.

11. Can I submit my profile before paying the fees?

Unless you select the free profile package (basic listing), payment of the applicable fees is required before submitting your profile. Profiles submitted without payment will not be processed.

12. How long will my profile be active in the database?

Each profile will be active for 12 months from the date of purchase. You can update your profile and documents during this period to keep it current.

13. Can I update my profile after submission?

Yes, you can update your profile and upload new documents as they become available. It's important to keep your profile up-to-date to ensure continued accuracy and reliability.

14. Is there a submission deadline?

No, there is no submission deadline. However, please note that the package lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase. If you delay in submitting your profile after purchasing the package, additional months will not be added to the duration of your package.

15. What happens when my profile posting package expires?

When your profile posting package expires, your profile will be removed from the list but will not be deleted. You can renew within 6 months without losing your data.
